Muradov: Our relations with Syria an opportunity for economic cooperation with the Middle East

Moscow, SANA- Cooperation between Crimea and Syria allows the Russian Republic of Crimea to develop its economic and trade relations with the countries of the Middle East, which are currently showing interest in activating mutual relations with Russia, said permanent representative of the Republic of Crimea to the Russian presidency, Georgy Muradov.

Muradov’s remarks came in a statement Thursday on the sidelines of the 26th International Economic Forum held in St. Petersburg.

“Crimea’s cooperation with the Middle East will develop more effectively because this is naturally linked to the existence of a basic agreement with Syria, which has returned to the Arab League, which means the emergence of an opportunity for us to establish a large center across Syria for cooperation with the entire Middle East, and this is what is being worked on,” Muradov said.

He pointed out that the Arab countries are currently moving very actively towards Russia, stressing that the colonial era that the West has exploited over the past two centuries has become a thing of the past, as a multipolar world and centers is currently emerging.
