Damascus, SANA- Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Fayssal Mikdad, discussed on Wednesday with Oman’s Foreign Minister, Badr Hamad Albusaidi, relations between the two brotherly countries and the latest developments in the region.
During a telephone call, Mikdad expressed Syria’s appreciation and thanks, under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad, for the successful efforts exerted by Sultanate of Oman, led by his majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, before, during and after the latest Arab Summit of Jeddah that aim to make rapprochement and reinforce the Arab stance.
Mikdad stressed that the role of Oman has always been positive according to a strategic vision which aims to achieve the Arab interest and the unity of Arab rank.
“Syria always aspires for boosting its relations with Sultanate of Oman in all issues of mutual concern,” Mikdad said.
AlBusaidi, for his part, appreciated the positive developments in Syria and the region, affirming Oman’s firm stance in support of Syria against terrorism and to keep Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
