Geneva, SANA-Assistant Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Mohammad Firas Nabhan, called for removing unilateral Western economic measures imposed on the Syrian people.
Nabhan said in a speech at Asia and the Pacific Regional Labor Ministerial Meeting, held at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva, that economic sanctions
imposed on the Syrian people are flagrant violation of international legitimacy that contradict the Declaration of Human Rights and the principles of the Charter of the UN.
He stressed the need for working to establish decent work standards and work market governance to strengthen the foundations of social justice, clarifying that Syria is still facing an unjust terrorist war supported by the colonial powers through which they sought to sabotage all the economic and social achievements for the Syrian people.
Nabhan called for translating the recommendations about the conditions of workers in the occupied Arab lands effectively on the ground, in a way that provides protection and guarantee the rights of workers in Palestine and the occupied Syrian Golan.
