Syrian-Belarusian talks to boost cooperation in transport sectors

Damascus, SANA- Minister of Transport, Eng. Zuhair Khuzaym discussed with Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus in Damascus, Yuri Sloka, the relations of friendship binding the two countries and the prospects of developing bilateral cooperation in the transport sectors.

Khuzaym pointed out to the need to activate the bilateral agreements that were signed between the two countries during the visit of Belarusian Prime Minister to Damascus in November 2022.

He called for moving forward their relations and establishing joint investment projects in land, sea, air and rail transport with the Ministry of Transport and Communications in Belarus.

Khuzaym called for unifying efforts in order to address the challenges and circumstances, in addition to establishing a network of economic relations with countries that have the same principles and values.

In turn, the Belarusian ambassador affirmed that the domains of cooperation with Syria are wide, especially in the transport sectors.

He called for getting acquainted with the developmental and investment projects in Belarus and the industrial and technological development the country is witnessing and benefiting from it in unlimited bilateral cooperation, especially that the bilateral projects in transport patterns are diverse and wide.

Sloka pointed out the necessity of activating the steps of cooperation, coordination and meetings, and accelerating the pace of work to serve the interests of the two friendly countries.
