Syria participates in 49th UNWTO Regional Commission for Middle East-Amman

Amman, SANA-The 49th meeting of the Regional Commission for the Middle East of the World Tourism Organization (WTO) kicked off Wednesday in Jordanian capital, Amman with the participation of Syria.

“Syria returns to participate in the activities of World Tourism Organization (WTO) after its return to the Arab League, and the achievements it has made,” Minister of Tourism, Eng. Mohammad Rami Martini said in a statement to SANA.

Martini underlined the importance of working during the coming stage with the participation of friendly and brotherly countries to enhance tourism services between Arab countries.

The meeting will last till June 9th in the presence of representatives of 12 Arab countries, as this commission is considered one of the main commissions of the World Tourism Organization, and its annual meeting is part of the activities of the international organization.
