Beirut, SANA – Syrian Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Abdul-Karim emphasized that the terrorist war launched against Syria is a war on the entire region, noting that the danger of terrorism and extremism threatens the whole region and the world and not just Syria.
Abdul-Karim was speaking during a meeting on Thursday with a delegation of the National Union of Syrian students (NUSS)- Lebanon branch- and the Secretariat of Lebanese youth and student organizations.
“Syria has confronted an aggressive war aimed at bringing it down because of its strategic location and approach that upholds the Palestine issue [against the Israeli occupation],” said the Ambassador.
“The victory of Syrian Arab army and the resistance is a source of pride for all of us,” he added, stressing that the growing awareness among the Syrian people of the plots against their country has contributed to the army’s victories.
Mohammad al-Muhtar, spokesman for the Lebanese youth and student organizations, stressed the good relations between these organizations and the NUSS, renewing standing by the Syrian people and army to defeat the plots aimed at dividing the region’s countries.
