Syria has defeated forces of international terrorism, Kazakh journalist says

Moscow, SANA- Head of non-Governmental al-Farabi Humanitarian Foundation in Kazakhstan, Akmaral Batalova, said that Syria has defeated the forces of international terrorism.

“The foreign powers have spent huge amounts of money and wasted painstaking efforts to launch a misleading media campaign against Syria, yet the Syrian people showed steadfastness and achieved victory over international terrorism and external intervention,” Batalova said in a televised interview.

Batalova, who recently visited Syria at the head of a Kazakh humanitarian delegation, expressed confidence that the situation in Syria is improving, hailing high performance of the Syrian delegation at Jeddah summit.

Batalova indicated that the humanitarian aid campaign for the earthquake-affected people in Syria took place first spontaneously, and then received the support of President Kassym Tokayev.

Batalova supervised the shipment of tons of Kazakh humanitarian aid to Syria and was at the head of the Kazakh humanitarian delegation that visited Damascus, Aleppo and Lattakia, and distributed aid, including Kazakh traditional tents.
