Syria gains bronze medal at the Mediterranean Karate Championship

Tunisia, SANA- The Syrian national karate champion, Wissam Abu Mahmoud, won the bronze medal at the Mediterranean Championship in the -75 kg category competition.

This Championship  is currently held in the Tunisian capital, Tunis, with the participation of 500 karate champions from 19 countries.

Head of the Sports Federation, Jihad Mia, said that this medal is an important success for the Syrian sport, as it has not been achieved for about 30 years, especially with the participation of world champions from Europe, Africa and Asia.

It should be noted that the Syrian team representing Syria in the Championship includes 6 karate athletes.
