Syrian, Algerian talks call for further cooperation and coordination

Damascus, Sana-Prime Minister, Eng. Hussein Arnous, met Sunday the Algerian Ambassador to Damascus, Hassan Tohamy, on the occasion of the end of his mission in Syria.

Both sides highlighted the solid historical relations between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, as well as the important role of Algeria to strengthen the joint Arab cooperation and promoting the Arab ranks unity.

They also emphasized the need to boost bilateral cooperation in economy and energy fields, increase trade exchange, in addition to opening new horizons for relations and exerting greater efforts to achieve mutual benefit for the two countries.

The premier thanked the Algerian leadership and people for standing by Syria to address the repercussions of the earthquake and supporting the Syrian people to face blockade and the terrorist war.

The Algerian ambassador, in turn, affirmed his country will continue to provide all forms of support and assistance to the Syrian people.
