Riyadh, SANA- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced on Tuesday the resumption of the work of its diplomatic mission in Syria.
“Based on the fraternal ties that unite the peoples of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Syrian Arab Republic, in the interest of contributing to the development of joint Arab action and strengthening security and stability in the region, and taking into account the resolution issued by the ministerial meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Arab States Council, which was held in Cairo on May 7, that stipulates the resumption of the participation of the Syrian Arab Republic’s delegations in the meetings of the Arab League Council and all its affiliated organizations and agencies, along with its commitment to the principles of the Charters of the United Nations and the Arab League as well as international conventions and norms, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has decided to resume the work of its diplomatic mission in the Syrian Arab Republic”, Saudi Press Agency “SPA”, quoted Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs as saying in a statement.
Earlier, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia welcomed the Arab League ministerial council’s decision to resume Syria’s participation in its meetings.
