Damascus, SANA- The funeral of the great journalist, Fayez al-Sayegh, was held on Tuesday in the presence of official and media figures, from al-Shami Hospital to the Church of Holy Cross in al-Qassaa, Damascus.
The late journalist occupied several media positions, including Director General of the Syrian Arab News Agency “SANA”, Editor-in-Chief of al-Thawra Newspaper, Chairman of the Board of Directors of al-Wahda Foundation, Director General of the General Authority for Radio and TV, and others.
Ministry of Information and the Union of Journalists mourned on Monday the death of the great journalist, Fayez al-Sayegh, at the age of 76.
