Syria gains two new medals at West Asia Fencing Championship

Amman, SANA- Syria’s fencing team has harvested new medals on the second day of West Asia Fencing Championship, currently being held in Jordan, raising its tally to six medals, with a silver and five bronze medals.

Syrian athlete Youshaa Saqeer won a silver medal in the Epee weapon competition (U-13 category) while athlete Ghazal Dabaiyat won a bronze medal in the Saber weapon competition (U-15 category).

On the first day of the championship, the Syrian team won four bronze medals.

10 teams representing Syria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Iraq, Palestine, Lebanon, Bahrain, UAE and Qatar are participating in the championship.
