Syria Participates in WIPO Conference in Geneva

Geneva, SANA- Syria has participated in the International Conference on Intellectual Property and Development – Intellectual Property and Innovation for Sustainable Agriculture- held in Geneva.

Deputy Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection Samer Soussi affirmed that intellectual property rights in Syria are greatly affected by the unjust sanctions imposed on the country.

He also called on the US occupation forces to leave Syria so that natural resources of food and oil return to the Syrian government.

“US troops looting the Syrian natural resources remains a significant hurdle to achieving sustainable development and the return of normal life to the Syrians,” Soussi said.
