A mass at St. Sarkis Church to commemorate 108th anniversary of Armenian genocide

Damascus, SANA- A holy mass was held on Monday at St. Sarkis Armenian Orthodox Church in Damascus, in commemoration of the 108th anniversary of the Armenian genocide.

The mass was led by Bishop Armash Nalbandian, Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Damascus. A number of heads and representatives on Christian denominations in Damascus joined the event.

Nalbandian, in a speech delivered at the mass, said that the anniversary of massacres perpetrated against the Armenian people is a dishonor to the human conscience.

“The anniversary reminds us of the fact that Man is able to perpetrate the most heinous sins if there was an escape from punishment,” the Primate said.
