Pope Francis calls for dialogue in Sudan

Vatican, SANA-Pope Francis has called for the dialogue between the Sudanese parties over grave situation in the country.

“Unfortunately the situation remains grave in Sudan.”

“That is why I am renewing my call for the violence to stop as quickly as possible and for dialogue to resume,” France Presse (AFP) quoted the Pope as saying during traditional Sunday prayers in Saint Peter’s Square in Rome.

The Sudanese capital of Khartoum and a number of other areas witness clashes between the Sudanese army forces and the Rapid Support Forces, causing many civilians and military victims.
