Emirati aid ship arrives at Lattakia port for quake- affected victims

Lattakia, SANA-An Emirati aid ship arrived at Lattakia port, loaded with 2,215 tons of relief, food and health materials for those affected by the earthquake.

Head of the Emirates Red Crescent delegation, Mohammed Al-Kaabi, stated in a statement to SANA reporter that this ship is the third one by the Emirates Red Crescent as part of the Operation Gallant Knight 2, aimed at enhancing the recovery stage for the benefit of the brotherly Syrian people, stressing that the aid will be sustained, in coordination with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) in a manner appropriate to each stage.

He noted that the shipment includes 1,392 tons of foodstuffs and 822 tons of relief materials, in addition to 685 tons of building materials for a project to build temporary prefabricated accommodation for those affected by the earthquake in the governorate, which includes about 1,000 housing units.
