Bahraini ambassador discusses means to enhance economic and trade cooperation with Syria

Damascus, SANA – Bahrain’s ambassador in Damascus, Waheed Mubarak Sayyar, affirmed his country’s keenness to strengthen its ties with Syria and develop economic and trade bilateral collaboration.

Visiting the Chamber of Industry in Damascus and its countryside, Ambassador Mubarak expressed the depth of the fraternal relations binding Syria and Bahrain, voicing his aspiration to work for the development and expansion of such ties in all fields and to activate the role of chambers of industry and commerce along with entrepreneurs in both countries.

The ambassador called on the chambers of industry in Syria to participate in the exhibitions held in Bahrain and to benefit from the facilitation offered by his country to the participants and businessmen wishing to invest, pointing out that “Bahrain has one joint chamber for commerce and industry and it is one of the oldest chambers in the Gulf region”.

Head of the Damascus Chamber in Industry, Ghazwan al-Masri, expressed the Chamber’s readiness to cooperate in various domains and discuss investment opportunities and trade exchange for materials that enter a number of industries, especially petrochemicals.

He pointed out to the importance of joint coordination to participate in the exhibitions held in both countries, activating mutual visits between economic events, and developing a common vision to activate cooperation in the areas of economy and investment.
