Moscow, SANA- Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Mikhail Bogdanov, discussed with Syria’s Ambassador to Russia, Bashar al-Jaafari, ways to boost Russian-Syrian relations in various fields.
“Talks, during the meeting, focused on strengthening the Russian-Syrian partnership in various fields, including deepening political dialogue on Middle East issues of common concern.” The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Friday.
Likewise, the Ministry referred,in another statement,to the discussions that Bogdanov held with the Turkish Ambassador in Moscow, Muhammad Samsar, on a political solution to the crisis in Syria.
“The talks focused on increasing coordinated efforts to ensure sustainable peace and security in and around Syria, in accordance with the principles of international law and the UN Charter,” The statement added.
