Damascus, SANA- The Ministry of Transport – the General Civil Aviation Authority decided to transfer the scheduled and programmed flights and landings at Aleppo International Airport to Damascus and Lattakia international airports.
“Following the Israeli aggression that targeted Aleppo International Airport and caused it to be out of service, it was decided to transform the landing of humanitarian relief aid planes for those affected by the earthquake, and the scheduled and programmed flights through Aleppo International Airport to become through the airports of Damascus and Lattakia,” the ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.
The ministry called on the travelers to arrange their travel, transport and flight schedules with the airlines and their offices till the repair of the damage caused by the aggression and the return of the airport to work.
The Ministry affirmed that its cadres have started operations to detect damages at Aleppo International Airport, so that they can be repaired in cooperation with the national companies concerned.
