Cuba strongly condemns recent Israeli aggression on Damascus

Havana, SANA- Cuba has strongly condemned the latest Israeli aggression which targeted residential areas in Damascus and its vicinity, causing the death of five people and the injury of 15 others.

“Cuba condemns in the strongest terms the latest Israeli bombing of Damascus”, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez said in a tweet, warning that this irresponsible act poses a threat to the regional security

Rodriguez added that this aggression violates Syria’s sovereignty, especially after the devastating earthquake which has jolted the country recently and claimed the lives of thousands.

In turn, Deputy Director of US Affairs at the Cuban Foreign Ministry Johana Tablada condemned the aggression and said that these attacks are savage acts against brotherly people who have suffered from a war that dragged on for years.

She stressed that all what happened is due to the impunity of the Israeli entity and is also due to the double standards policy adopted by the US and Western countries.
