Lavrov: The West still practices double standards on international issues

Moscow, SANA- Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stressed that the West is still practicing the double standards policy towards the international issues, paying no concern of the damages and negative repercussions of this policy.

Meeting representatives of foreign mass media on Wednesday, Lavrov pointed out that the West accused Syria of using chemical weapons upon artificial scenes that were fabricated by the so-called ‘the White Helmets’ terrorist organization.

“But following the report of the U.S. investigative journalist Seymour Hersh, who confirmed that there was not a shred of evidence of a chemical attack in which all the facts are correspond, the United Nations staff have said that they haven’t any evidence which they can rely upon to conduct an investigation, Lavrov added.

Lavrov asserted that all should search for the truth and objectivity, noting that the journalists as like as the diplomats care for the facts and objectivity.

The Russian diplomat denounced the statements of the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell on which he said that the process of blocking the Russian media serves as a defense of the freedom of expression, asserted that it constitutes a violation of all laws adopted by it the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE)and a mockery of freedom of expression by the West.
