Algeria dispatches a team of Civil Protection to Syria to participate in rescue operations of earthquake victims

Algeria, SANA- Algeria has announced dispatching a specialized civil protection team to Syria in order to participate in the rescue operations of the earthquake victims that hit the country at dawn on Monday.

At the behest of the Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, a team of 86 specialized civil protection personnel will head to Syria, as it will participate in rescue operations using techniques and means in accordance with international standards required by the International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG), Algerian Ennahar newspaper said.

President Tebboune, in a cable sent to President Bashar al-Assad, stressed Algerian government and people stand by Syrian people in light of these hard circumstances, and their readiness to provide assistance and to exert every effort that would alleviate the effects of this disaster.
