Lebanese Army to send Engineering Regiment members to Syria to help rescue quake victims 

Beirut, SANA- The Lebanese army announced on Tuesday that it will send a number of the Engineering Regiment’s members to Syria to contribute to the work of rescuing those afflicted by the earthquake that rocked the country at dawn on Monday, and led to hundreds of victims.

“15 members of the engineering regiment will be sent to the Syrian Arab Republic to contribute to the search and rescue operations,” the Lebanese army said on its Twitter account.

On Monday, Lebanon expressed deep sympathy and solidarity with the brotherly Syrian Arab Republic regarding the catastrophe caused by the earthquake that jolted the country, expressing readiness to offer a helping hand and assistance in facing the impacts of this quake.
