Syria strongly condemns terrorist bombing of Peshawar in Pakistan

Damascus, SANA- Syria denounces, in the strongest terms, the terrorist explosion that took place Monday at a mosque in the Pakistani city of Peshawar, Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.

The statement added that Syria condemns the explosion that claimed the lives of more than 80 worshippers and caused injuries to dozens, underlining the importance of intensifying the international efforts to uproot terrorism with all its forms completely, and holding the parties and countries supporting it responsible.

“Syria affirms its support for Pakistan’s efforts in encountering terrorism from which Syria, likewise, has been suffering for several years”.

 “Syria extends its sincere condolences to the Pakistani government and people and families of victims, wishing the injured a speedy recovery”, the ministry concluded.
