Over a million hectares cultivated with wheat crop in Syria

Damascus, SANA- The area cultivated with wheat crop has exceeded 1,211,677 hectares over the entire arable lands in Syria so far.

Director of plant production at Agriculture and Agrarian Reform Ministry, Ahmad Haidar said that the areas planted with irrigated wheat have reached 562,913 hectares and 648,764 hectares with rain-fed, with an implementation rate of 89 percent of the planned plan, while the total area cultivated with the barley crop has reached 1,160,927 hectares so far.
