Putin signs a decree allowing foreigners with Belarusian visas to enter Russia

Moscow, SANA- Russian President Vladimir Putin signed an act to ratify an intergovernmental agreement (IGA) with Belarus on mutual recognition of visas and it was published on the Kremlin website.

RIA Novosti News Agency stated that the agreement signed on June 19, 2020 in Minsk regulates immigration operations on the territory of Russia, according to which foreigners and stateless persons obtain the right to enter, leave, reside and transit through the territories of Belarus and Russia on the basis of a visa from one of the two countries and on the basis of certified identity documents.

The agreement defines the terms for these visits and the working system of the relevant institutions in the two countries, including the exchange of information, and it remains in force until one of the parties notifies the other party in writing through diplomatic channels of its intention to stop its work.
