Tehran, SANA-Minister of Higher Education Mohammad Amer Mardini said Monday Syrian universities and research institutions were badly affected by sabotage acts of terrorist organizations which targeted the youth generations who search for knowledge and seek to build the future of Syria.
“In spite of all those terrorist acts, the educational process at Syrian universities have continued its task in a good manner and the educational hospitals have offered their services on all levels,” Minister Mardini said in a speech at a conference on Technology and Scientific Research Ministers for the Non-Aligned countries being held in Tehran with participation of 88 states.
He added that the Ministry has worked to rehabilitate and build the facilities which were damaged by terrorists through setting three plans in addition to a number of projects for hospitals affiliated to the Ministry of Higher Education.
Mardini hailed the efforts of the participant countries to include an article at Tehran draft resolution that condemns the attacks perpetrated by the terrorist organizations against technological and scientific centers and their staff.
He also appreciated Iran’s efforts to boost scientific relations among countries of the Non-Aligned Movement seeking a distinguished scientific zone that competes the achievements of the West and North states.
