Al-Jaafari, Pankin discuss bilateral multifaceted cooperation, international developments

Moscow, SANA- Alexander Pankin, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation discussed with the Syrian Ambassador in Moscow Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari  the Syrian-Russian cooperation in various issues as well as the latest developments on the international arena.

“The pressing issues, political, economic, trade, financial and international ones were addressed by the two sides in light of the bilateral coordination in all domains” said the Russian Ministry in a statement.

In addition, al-Jaafari met with Rector of the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Alexander Yakovenko, with the two diplomats exchanging views on the situation in Syrian and the region.

The two sides touched upon the high level of bilateral cooperation in various fileds, including the educational one, underscoring the positive experience of the communication existing between the Academy and the Diplomatic Institute of the Syrian Foreign Ministry.

During the talks, Yakovenko called for sending Syrian diplomatic youth to Russia for two-week training, whilst al-Ja’afari affirmed that the ministry is pleased to ink an agreement between the Academy and the Institute.
