Tehran, SANA-Syria’s Ambassador in Tehran, Shafiq Dayoub, discussed on Tuesday with Dr. Mohammad Riza Majidi, The Secretary General of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly, means of enhancing cooperation between Syria and the Assembly’s member states.
Ambassador Dayoub said that it is very important to boost parliamentary diplomacy among the member states in order to develop relations among their peoples and encourage their governments to face common challenges.
Reza Majidi, for his part, affirmed the need for parliamentary and diplomatic cooperation to complement the governmental diplomacy, pointing out to the important role of the Assembly to achieve active cooperation among member countries.
He expressed his country’s readiness to develop cooperation with the Syrian People’s Assembly.
