Foreign Ministry: Repeated water cuts for more than one million Syrians is a crime against humanity

Damascus, SANA- Foreign and Expatriates Ministry underscored that cutting water off for more than one million Syrians in Hasaka and its surrounding is a war crime and a crime against humanity.

“Cutting water off by Qasad militia and its American supporters, or by the Turkish occupation and its tools is nothing but an inhumane and vile game.” the ministry stressed in a tweet.

It referred that the Israeli aggression perpetrated Sunday on Homs countryside is a part of roles distributed among these parties, and is a shameful disregard for the International Law provisions.

“Water cutting on a repeated basis represents a collective punishment against the civilians especially the vulnerable groups like children, women and the elderly and is considered as a war crime and a crime against humanity.”

“Syria calls on the International Community and the United Nations to put an immediate end to all violations that will no longer be tolerated.” the ministry concluded.
