5.6-magnitude earthquake hits China’s Tibet

BEIJING, SANA- A 5.6-magnitude earthquake jolted Medog County in Nyingchi City, southwest China’s Tibet Autonomous Region, at 1:01 p.m. Thursday Beijing Time.

Xinhua News Agency quoted China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC) as saying in a statement “the epicenter was monitored at 28.35-degree north latitude and 94.48-degree east longitude, with a depth of 10 km.”

No causalities or material damages were reported in the earthquake, according to the Center.
