Embassy of Indonesia holds reception on national day

Damascus, SANA-Embassy of Indonesia in Damascus held a reception on Monday in celebration of the 77^th anniversary of National Day.

Ambassador Wajid Fauzi described relations between Syria and Indonesia as historical and deep, saying the relations are a strong basis for the development of mutual relations

“Today’s celebration is also a celebration for the 75^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries,” Ambassador Fauzi said.

Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Bashar al-Jaafari, for his part, described as deeply-rooted the relations that bond the two states.

“Syria has supported Indonesia’s independence in the late 40^th of last century while Indonesia has stood by Syria in the war on terror,” al-Jaafari said.
