Beirut, SANA- With the aim of raising the competence of social security inspectors and provide them with high-level technical skills, the International Labor Organization (ILO),held On Monday a qualitative training workshop for them in Beirut
The training program themes were conducted with a participation of a group of inspectors from social security institutions in many countries, including Syria, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan and the Sultanate of Oman.
In a speech during the workshop, the Assistant Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Muhammad Firas Nabhan, shed light on the importance of cooperation with the Organization and benefiting from technical expertise to raise the efficiency of social security inspectors, which reflects positively on the social protection system in Syria and social security, indicating that Syria had issued a set of relevant legislations to protect workers’ rights in accordance with international labor conventions.
