Syria, Iran to enhance Culture cooperation

Damascus, SANA- Minister of Culture, Lubanah Mshaweh, has discussed with President of the Organization of Culture and Islamic Relations in Iran, Muhammad Mahdi Imanipur, means of enhancing culture ties, cooperation, in addition to exchanging experiences between the two friendly countries.

During a meeting held on Monday, Mshaweh stressed the importance of speeding up efforts to sign an understanding memo between Syria and Iran which are connected by deep historical relations.

She added that the Iranian cultural week in Syria is a first step for building stronger cultural ties between both states.

In turn, Imanipur noted the importance of relations between the two peoples and the two governments.

“The Iranian cultural week, to be held in Syria soon, will open a window through which the Syrian people get acquainted with the Iranian culture and civilization,” Imanpur said.

He affirmed his country’s readiness to boost relations with Syria in all artistic and cultural sectors.
