Demonstrations in Germany calling for lifting sanctions on Russia

Cologne, SANA- Some 2000, mostly Russian-speaking protestors, marched in the western German city of Cologne to demand Berlin stop supporting Ukrainian regime and lift sanctions it imposed on Russia.

Reuters reported that the protesters raised Russian flags ,and banners with the NATO slogan crossed out with a red line.

“Germany is in chaos,” said Elena Kolbasnikova, one of the organizers of the protest, stressing that Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine was protecting Russian-speakers in the eastern Ukraine.

Footage showed that at least one person was arrested by the police during the rally.
