Damascus,SANA- Technical teams associated with Ministry of Transport continue their efforts to repair damaged caused by the recent Israeli aggression against the Aleppo International Airport, to put it into full service as soon as possible as on Friday, Transport Ministry stated.
“Technical teams affiliated with the General Organization of Civil Aviation, in coordination with competent national companies, are following up on the restoration and repair of the damage caused by the Israeli aggression against the airport that took place on 31 of August,” the Ministry reported in a statement on Thursday .
The statement pointed out that the technical staff is intensifying efforts to resume the operational state of the airport, ensure the safety of landing and take-off of planes, as well as put it fully into service as of today Friday at 12:00 p.m. local time without any modification to the scheduled flights.
The statement noted that “some of the equipment at Damascus International Airport incurred some damages due to the aggression but posed no effect on the effectiveness of the airport, and airport is still normally operative”
