Russian forces repel Ukrainian airdrop near Zaporozhye nuclear power plant

Moscow, SANA-The administration of Zaporozhye region has announced that it had repelled an airdrop by Ukrainian troops in the city of Energodar, in conjunction with the visit of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) mission to the plant.

Head of the local administration, Alexander Volga, was quoted by TASS news agency as telling reporters, “The Russian planes neutralized the movement of the Ukrainian group and their positions were exposed to fire.”

For his part, the representative of the administration of the Zaporozhye region, Vladimir Rogov, said in an interview with RT channel that the attempt to land is aimed at thwarting the visit of the IAEA delegation and showing that everything is scary and should not go there, as it aims to paralyze the protection and security measures of the nuclear plant.
