Damascus, SANA- Prime Minister Hussein Arnous met Wednesday Pakistani Ambassador Saeed Muhammad Khan in Damascus on the occasion of ending his duties as an Ambassador to Syria.
Syria is keen to work with all its capabilities to upgrade these ties and take the necessary steps to push them forward for achieving the common interests, Arnous said.
He highlighted the need to develop cooperation in the cultural and scientific fields, increase scholarships offered by the Pakistani side, increase tourism trips to Syria, as well as the importance of the participation of Pakistani companies in the reconstruction.
Arnous indicated to Pakistan’s stances of rejecting interference in the domestic affairs of countries, and expressed appreciation to Pakistani government and people for standing by the Syrian people, hailing the efforts been made by Ambassador Muhammad Khan to develop cooperation between the two countries.
The Pakistani ambassador, for his part, refered to the distinguished relations that have brought the two countries together for seventy years, especially at the political and diplomatic levels, stressing the continuation of work to strengthen commercial and economic cooperation, especially after the resumption of flights between the two countries.
Ambassador Muhammad Khan voiced his happiness to see development on the ground in Syria in terms of recovery and progress at all levels.
