Prayers in Jerusalem for peace in Syria

Occupied Jerusalem, SANA – Prayers were held on Sunday for peace in Syria, Iraq and the entire Middle East and in solidarity with the two abducted bishops in Syria at the St. Saviour Church in the occupied Jerusalem.

The congregation prayed for peace in Syria and Iraq, with bishop Atallah Hanna stressing the solidarity of the Christians in Jerusalem with their brothers in Syria and Iraq.

Earlier this month, bishop Hanna said the West will never protect the Christians in the region and that the Chriastian presence can only be protected when Christians and Muslims join forces to confront terrorism, extremism and backwardness.
