Ukraine’s accusations against Russia are meaningless, Polyanskiy says

New York, SANA- Dmitry Polyanskiy, Russian Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, has stressed that Ukraine’s accusations against Russia of violating the Genocide Convention are absurd and meaningless.

“The Ukrainian side is carrying out those acts for the sake of public opinion”, Polyansky was quoted by RIA Novosti news agency as commenting on Ukraine’s inclination to go to the UN court, adding “I think that Ukrainian Foreign Minister’s statements in this regard do not deserve much attention”.

Polyansky said that things are complicated in the court, and many lawsuits have been filed, but the outcomes are very limited.

The UN court began studying a lawsuit filed by Ukraine against Russia last March on the background of Russian special operation to protect Donbass.
