Homs, SANA- A prayer for peace in Syria and a procession of candles were held Thursday in Homs city on the occasion of the Feast of Saint Elian.
The procession was titled a “Procession of Martyrs and Peace”.
The procession set off from al-Maljaa Square towards Monastery of Saint Elian in al-Hamidiyeh neighborhood in Old Homs.
Greek Orthodox Metropolitan Bishop George Abou Zakhem affirmed during the prayer the necessity of consolidating national unity, highlighting the huge sacrifices of the Syrian Arab Army and Syrian people to restore security and stability.
