Aleppo, SANA- The injured army personnel, Mohammed Khalasi decided not to surrender to his injury and to return to his normal life through designing various types of furniture.
Khalasi was injured in the left hand and shrapnel in the liver and leg during the Syrian Arab Army’s battles against the terrorist organizations in Homs city.
The injury caused him a disability of 82 percent as he received a treatment and with his gradual recovery he got back to the craft of upholstery and furniture repair, which he has learned from his father since he was 14 years old , supported by Jarih al-Watan (Injured of the Homeland) program of the Syrian Trust for Development.
Khalasi opened an upholstery workshop and furniture repair in SalahEddin neighborhood in Aleppo to upholster remarkable home furniture characterized by accuracy and creativity.
“I contribute to building the homeland’s economy through work and production,” Khalasi said.
He called on his colleagues and the war-wounded not to surrender to injury and disease ,and to overcome it by establishing new projects that will help them in livelihoods and achieve their ambitions, confirming that the injury will not stand in the way of their dreams.
