Abdollahian to Mikdad: Iran condemns Israeli aggression on Damascus southern outskirts

Damascus, SANA- Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Fayssal Mikdad, on Friday received a phone call from his Iranian counterpart, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.

Abdollahian said that Iran’s leadership and people condemns the Israeli aggression which was carried out on Friday morning on Damascus southern outskirts.

The Iranian minister asserted his country’s support for Syria in intercepting the repeated Israeli attacks that are supported by external forces.

He hailed the persistent work done by the Syrian leadership to preserve its sovereignty along with the heroic stances against terrorism in Syria and the region, and the triumph that has been achieved over the illegitimate external interference in the country’s domestic affairs.

For his part, Mikdad voiced appreciation for the Iranian stances in support of Syria.

The Israeli aggression comes within the framework of the support provided by Israel to its terrorist allies , the actions of the American forces and their tools in the northeast of Syria , and the threats made by Turkey to launch attacks on the Syrian territories, in addition to the Turkey’s support for the terrorist groups in the northwest of the country, Mikdad indicated.

Syria will use every legitimate means to defend its right to repel the treacherous Israeli attacks, continue its war against terrorism until liberating the country from all terrorists and illegal foreign forces that support them,Mikdad underlined.
