Syria, Iran discuss means to enhance economic cooperation

Damascus, SANA- Syria and Iran have discussed relations of economic cooperation and trade exchange between the two countries and ways to develop and enhance them.

That came during a meeting that brought together Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Dr. Amr Salem, and Iranian Ambassador in Damascus Mahdi Sobhani and an accompanying delegation.

The talks focused on the reality of the mills’ work implemented by (Ard Machine) Company for the manufacture of mills and silos in Syria and the future projects in this field.

Dr. Salem affirmed the ministry’s readiness to provide all the necessary facilities to ensure the implementation of the company’s work in building and rehabilitating mills in accordance with the best international conditions and specifications.

For his part, the owner of Ard Machine Company, Jaafar Chiusi, said that the Salhab Mill, which the company is implementing, will be developed with actual investment in the near future.

He added that the company is ready to implement new mills, and to repair and restore mills and silos that were damaged by terrorism, and raise the production capacity of existing mills or those that need rehabilitation, restoration and provision of spare parts and necessary spare parts for them.

The two sides stressed the need to uplift relations of economic cooperation and trade exchange to the level of the distinguished political relations between the two countries to face all challenges, especially the siege imposed on them by the enemy.
