Homs, SANA- Matraba border crossing between Syria and Lebanon was opened on Friday after completing logistic preparation and preparing the basic infrastructure, in the presence of official and popular activities from the two countries.
Opening the border crossing aims to improve economic, trade, and tourism relations and facilitate movement of citizens.
The new border provides services for arriving and departing passengers, and it is the fourth one in Homs province and the sixth between Syria and Lebanon.
The Immigration and Passports Directorate at the Interior Ministry, Khalid Haddid pointed out to the strong and brotherly ties binding Syria and Lebanon throughout history and the sacrifices made by the peoples of the two countries to uproot terrorism.
