Citizens of occupied Golan affirm liberation will inevitably come

Occupied Golan, SANA-Citizens of the occupied Syrian Golan commemorated the 76th anniversary of the Evacuation Day, the Syria’s Independence Day during a celebration held at Sultan Pasha al-Atrash square in the center of the occupied city of Majdal Shams.

The participants in the celebration raised the Syria’s national flag and banners with phrases that glorify the Independence, as well as photos of the leaders of the Syrian Revolution against the French occupation, and chanted slogans in support of the Syrian Arab Army in its war against terrorism.

They also stressed their adherence to their homeland Syria and their struggle until the liberation of Golan and the expulsion of the Israeli occupation.

Sheikh Hassan Shams delivered a speech in which he stressed that Golan was and will remain Arab and Syrian land, and its people continue to fight and follow in the footsteps of their fathers and grandfathers who gained Independence.

“The evacuation will be completed with the liberation of all Syrian soil from the occupation, on top, the occupied Syrian Arab Golan,” he said.

159 citizens in Golan were martyred in the battles for independence against the French occupation, in addition to dozens of martyrs against the Israeli occupation.
