Moscow, SANA- Russian Defense Ministry spokesperson, Major-General Igor Konashenkov, announced that the Russian Armed Forces continue to carry out the special operation in Ukraine, and that the Ilyich mining complex in Mariupol city was completely liberated by combat operations of a group of Russian forces and units of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
Konashenkov said in a press briefing on Friday, “Last night, a workshop at the Golyansky plant for the production and repair of medium and long-range anti-air defense missile systems, as well as anti-ship missiles in one of the suburbs of Kyiv, were targeted by using high-precision sea-based Kalibr missiles.”
Konashenkov added that the anti-aircraft defense forces, using the S-400 missile system, shot down a Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopter in Horodnia town, Chernihiv Oblast province, which was returning to its base after bombing civilians in a town in Bryansk region, and a Ukrainian Su-27 plane was shot down in the air in Lazovaya town in Kharkov province.
He pointed out that 8 Ukrainian drones were shot down and 7 military facilites were destroyed with high-precision missiles, including a launcher for Tochka or tactical missiles in Yasinovo town and a temporary stationing site for Nazi Ukrainian formations, including 20 armored vehicles, in addition to the destruction of mobilization sites for Ukrainian combat equipment and weapons, artillery and fuel depots in other towns.
Konashenkov noted that 50 Nazis and about 30 Polish mercenaries were eliminated in the Kharkov region belonging to a private military company, and 221 Ukrainian military targets were targeted, including 12 command centers and 176 fortified positions, and 12 artillery batteries were put down.
