Moscow, SANA- Over the past day, the Russian tactical aircraft and drones destroyed 128 Ukrainian military targets, including one Buk-M1 air defense system, another OSA system, 4 radar stations for target detection, 4 command centers, 7 weapons depots, and 68 locations for stationing military equipment, Spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry, Major-General Igor Konashenkov stated.
Konashenkov said in a media briefing on Wednesday that the Russian aviation and air defense forces shot down on Wednesday two Ukrainian Su-25s in Chernihiv and a MiG-29 in Novaya Bykovka region, as well as four drones.
Konashenkov added that the group of forces of the Luhansk People’s Republic continues its offensive operations and is engaged in battles in the northwestern, northeastern and eastern districts of Severodonetsk city in eastern Ukraine, with a population of more than 100,000 people.
He noted that the units of the Donetsk People’s Republic, in turn, continued their combat operations and took control of the towns of Mikhailovka, Stavka, Putmanka and Vasilievka, and were engaged in a battle for control of Verkhnitoretskoye town.
Konashenkov said that since the beginning of the special operation, Russian aviation and anti-air defense have destroyed 111 aircraft, 68 helicopters, 160 Ukrainian drones, 159 anti-air missile systems, 1,353 tanks and other armored vehicles, 129 rocket launchers, 493 field guns and mortars, and 1,096 special military vehicles.
