Culture Ministry, Emirates Writers Union discuss means to enhance cooperation

Abu Dhabi, SANA- Minister of Culture, Dr. Lubanah Mshaweh, discussed with the Board of Directors of the Emirates Writers Union ways to develop cooperation and cultural relations between the two sides.

Talks during a meeting with Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Writers Union Sultan Al-Amimi and a number of broad members, tackled the intellectual and literary relations between the two sides, their strategic plans for the construction of thought, supporting the Arabic language, and possible cooperation mechanisms to support translation and publishing plans.

The two sides stressed the importance of the Arabic language as an important supporter of thought in the age of technology.

The meeting was attended by Syrian Ambassador to the UAE Dr. Ghassan Abbas and Minister Plenipotentiary at the Embassy, Rania al-Rifai.

In a relevant context, the Minister of Culture honored the team of volunteers in the Syrian pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai and thanked them for the effort they made to make the Syrian participation a success.

Certificates of appreciation and awards were given by Minister Mshaweh to the pavilion’s staff and volunteers.
