Syrian-Iranian meeting discussing academic cooperation

Damascus, SANA – Minister of Higher Education Mohammad Amer al-Mardini affirmed the necessity of
enhancing academic cooperation relations between Iran and Syria and benefiting from the Iranian advanced scientific and technical experience.

During a meeting on Sunday with the Iranian Ambassador in Damascus Mohammad Reza Rauf Sheibani, the Minister highlighted the need to draw up a joint scientific roadmap of cooperation in line with the bilateral strategic relations between the two countries and the accelerated technical and scientific advancements.

Talks during the meeting also discussed ways to develop the executive program of academic cooperation between the two sides.

Issues related to the Syrian students studying in Iran and those dispatched to go this year were also touched upon, with focus being placed on facilitating their travel and expenditure procedures.
